playing with his new memory game from jack.
waiting for his little creatures to appear from the little capsules he got from cora's birthday party. he loved this.
sister and pawpaw. he just adores her.
the rare shot of me and one of my kids.
and the awesome pirate cupcakes from christi with oh cupcakes.

so every night, after bath and story time, I lay in bed with lukey and snuggle him or rub his back and we talk. it's so cute, because he usually likes to recap the day and tell me about all the fun things he did or he tells me about what he wants to do the next day. i love this time with him because he is so sweet and snuggly and says some of the cutest things.
anyway, so tonight i asked him "what are your favorite things?"
he said, in this order...
1. Buddy (cousin/best friend)
2. KK (cousin/best friend)
3. cinnamon rolls
4. smackers (he clapped his hands together, i assumed he just meant all things that you can smack together and make noise)
5. snackies (fruit snacks, of course)
6. m&ms
7. and sister (haha...love how she made it on the list after m&ms)

i realize that i have not kept up with my 'photo-a-day challenge'. i have no excuse.
i realize that the mountain of clean clothes and the mountain of dirty clothes are not going to go away unless i do something about it. yes, i realize that.
i realize we will be having frozen pizza for dinner because i forgot to thaw the pork tenderloin.
i realize the house is just going to be a mess. i try to keep up but am no match for lukey's demolition skills.
i realize i still have the same long list of to do's that i started with this morning.
i realize that sister and lukey could care less about these things.
i realize that they would rather me come and play, so that is just what i am going to do.
i realize i have just wasted another five minutes writing this stupid post. :)

there is something irresistible about a quiet house. i find myself stalling going to bed because i know it won't be long before the "night shift" begins and then we start all over tomorrow. so i am still up, sorting through pictures, editing here and there. but, at last, my eyes are burning and my body is telling me it's sleep time. so off i go. but, first here are a few more of sweet little 'livia.
ok, i think i am going a little over board with the hazey, honey look. will rework this tomorrow after seeing it on here.
off to bed and happy friday everyone. i'd say our evening was quite productive. a trip to taco bell proved the little turkey could not resist a bean burrito and the "lunchtime" standoff is official over. thank goodness. now i can sleep. i have been having nightmares about waking up to luke looking like one of those emaciated dogs on animal cops. oh, and nick and i managed to watch mama mia and hancock tonight after the kids went down. thanks netflicks.
ok, ok. i realize i have been slacking lately on the blog. quite honestly, the kiddos have been kicking my hiney lately and i'm much more preoccupied with making sure we all eat at regular intervals and that no one (i'm not naming names here) runs out the front door like a wild hooligan. so....i thought i would challenge myself to take a picture a day of the kiddos for 30 straight days. nothing fancy, just everyday stuff. so without further adieu, here you have it. olivia doing what olivia does best. eat. eat. and sit.
